GABE, Bernice Lee (nee Wheeler). Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Theodore William (Ted) Gabe; devoted mother of Cheryl Gabe (Gerald Strohmenger), Gayle Freeland (William), and Theodore Robert (TR) Gabe (Sheila Newberry); loving grandmother of Michelle Perry (Robert), Greg Freeland, Jacqueline and Brett Strohmenger, and Bill, Jeff, and Carol Freeland; great grandmother of Brittani, Ryan, Abbi, Alexandra, Lexi, Ava, and Brantley; great-great grandmother of Ella and Brady; sister of the late Eunice (Tooty) Goldhagen; aunt of Mark Goldhagen and Karen Miller; great-aunt of Zakary Goldhagen.
Bernice passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the age of 91. Visitation will be at 10:00am prior to the 11:00am service on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Hockley Chapel at Mason Christian Village, 411 Western Row Road, Mason, OH 45040.
As a homemaker, Bernice was involved in numerous church, school, civic, and community organizations. She served the Norwood community in a variety of volunteer service positions while supporting her husband's practice and caring for her family.
