MOTTASHED, Charles Richard Jr. Died peacefully at age 70, at his home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, on January 4, 1944, to Charles and Grace Mottashed, and graduated from Peebles High School. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a very active member of the Celebration Church in Mason, Ohio. Dick worked at General Electric for 25 years, and at Ligget and Platt for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sue, and children Betsy (Mike) Amshoff of Mason, Ohio; Chuck of Mason, Ohio; and Matt (Erin) of Morrow. He was blessed with ten grandchildren; Hannah Amshoff, who preceeded him in death, Kalib, Aiden, Gavin, Eligh Amshoff; Morgan, Noah, and Cole Mottashed; Ben and Owen Mottashed. He is also survived by brothers Don (Mary), Ralph (Linda), Ted (Brenda), sister Kitty, and his best friend, Dave Kitchen. Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 Noon, at Shorten & Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, or to Wounded Warriors in honor of Dick would be appreciated.
