Dakota "Cody" Estes

Dakota “Cody” James Estes, aged 31, suddenly passed away on January 26, 2020.  He was born on February 24, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Terry and Toya (Menker) Estes. Cody graduated from Lakota East High School in 2006. Thereafter, he attended Miami University. Cody worked for J&B Steel and climbed his way up to a Foreman within the Iron Workers Union 290 of Dayton.  He loved to travel and experience the nature around him. Cody had a big heart, contagious smile and loved people, especially his family and friends.  He is survived by his siblings Blake (Janie), Austin, and Makiah; nephew Leo; Grandfather Clarence James Menker Jr.; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by so many. The family of Cody will welcome all who knew him for a Visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home – Mason (400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM with a Service to follow beginning at 3:00 PM.
