UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS VIETNAM WAR VETERAN

SMITH, David Arnold, of Celina, TN. Passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN at age 63. Loving father of Stephanie (Scott) Loranzan, Alan, Shellie and Joannie. Dear grandfather of Ciara, Keilah, Megan, Rowan and Jaxen. Dear brother of Robert Smith of Hillsboro, Donald Smith of Lebanon, Ernist Smith of Maineville and Cleon Smith of Alexandria, KY. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Nathan Jr. and Venna (nee Jenkins) Smith and brother, Michael Smith. A 1968 Kings High School Graduate and a Marine Corps Vietnam War Veteran serving in 1969 and 1970. He suffered wounds near Da Nang in 1970. He was a Lebanon Police Academy Graduate and the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia. He served with the Morrow Police Department (Sgt) and retired as chief of police at the Milford Police Department.
