Dianna Muennich

Dianna Muennich (née St. Angelo), born in July 1948, passed away November 30, 2022, with her husband of 52 years, Michael, at her side.  Dianna knew Michael was the one after only dating for 2 weeks.  She raised two independently-minded sons, Josh (Elizabeth) and Ryan (Linda) who will miss having a referee for their spirited discussions.  And she doted on her 4 grandchildren, making sure they were never cold under mountains of handmade quilts.  She is survived by siblings Debbie of Arizona and P.J. of Akron, Ohio.

A lifelong educator, Dianna served at every level of the education system.  She taught in classrooms, trained teachers and special educators, served as an elementary school principal, and ultimately developed curriculum for at-risk school districts, improving the lives and educations of thousands of children in southwest Ohio.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Rd., Mason, Ohio 45040 on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 7:00PM.  A private family graveside service will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason.
