Dolores Ann Bruffey

Dolores Ann Bruffey, “Dee” (Adro), age 79, passed away peacefully and comfortably after a brief illness, on 4/23/2022.

Born on July 1, 1942, Dee was a graduate of Madera High School (1961), and lived her entire life in Cincinnati, Ohio, residing in the communities of Mt. Healthy, Madeira -where all three of her children graduated from the same high school - and Mason, Ohio, until her death.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jim, who passed away on 12/13/2018. She

is survived by her loving sister Norma (Young), her son Jamie and his wife Patti and their sons Wade and Weston, her daughter Jody and her husband Gene (Grant) and their children Abby and her husband Ryan, Alex and his fiancée Nicole, Josh and his wife Emily, Nate and Sam, and her son Chad and his daughters Ava and Grace. She is also survived by many of her lifelong friends, other extended family members, and former co-workers, who so greatly supported her throughout her life, making it more fulfilling and enriched.

Her family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Lodge Retirement Community, where she resided after her husband’s death, and to the staff and care providers at the Lodge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Hospice of Cincinnati, for their exceptional care of her these last few weeks.

The family plans a private memorial service for Jim and Dee at a date to be determined. Dee loved her pets, and rescued more than a few, so any donation to the animal welfare support organization of your choice in her name would be welcomed and appropriate.
