Donna Lewis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Lewis of Mason, Ohio. She was surrounded by the love of her family as she left this world to be with the Lord on January 25, 2025.

Donna was a cherished mother to Amy (Rich) Linville and Jared (Shawn) Lewis, and a devoted grandmother to Brett Linville, Kaitlin Lewis and Kevin Lewis. She is also survived by her siblings – Betty Bobb, Ruth Marilyn Skinner, and Lowell Dean Bobb (Debi).

Preceded in passing by her beloved husband Jack L. Lewis, her son Lyle Lewis and daughter-in-law Karen Richards, Donna leaves behind a legacy of strength and resiliency that will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to know her.

Donna’s hobbies were more than ways to pass time – they were intense life-long pursuits. Her love of nature inspired her to transform her wooded lot into a tranquil escape by forging a trail through the woods down to the creek below. 

She was fascinated by gemstones and rocks and collected those that she found most interesting. When a fall took the use of her legs, her church friends did the exploring for her, sending her rocks from places they had visited all over the world. 

Donna loved music, especially church music. She showed this outwardly by singing for years in the church choir, but she preferred the quiet, private worship of the hymn arrangements she would make at home on her piano. 

Her greatest pursuits were her children and grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She was a teacher by trade but never passed up the opportunity to impart her wisdom, especially to those closest to her. 

Donna left this earthly realm peacefully with the promise of heaven where her broken body would be healed, and she would be reunited with her husband and son. May her life lessons, stories, strong faith and resiliency continue to inspire for generations to come.
