Frederick "Jerry" Kitchell

Frederick "Jerry" Kitchell, born December 29, 1933, passed away after receiving comfort from his loved ones on September 5, 2020, in Mason, Ohio.

The family of Jerry will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home (400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM with a funeral mass at St. Susanna Catholic Church (616 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) beginning at 12 Noon.  Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery (171 Mason Montgomery Rd., Mason, OH 45040) will take place immediately following.  A live stream of the services may be seen here https://facebook.com/events/s/funeral-services-honoring-jerr/870910890107009/?ti=icl

Jerry was born in Middlebury Vermont to Maude (Oney) and Orville Kitchell on December 29, 1933.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951 where he served 4 years.  He married Karen Lee Howard on September 18, 1965 in Mason Ohio. He graduated from Xavier University with his undergraduate finance and a master’s degree in business.  He worked as an Executive for General Electric from where he retired in 1994 and also as a full time farmer in Lebanon Ohio.  He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Navy.

Jerry is preceded in death by Maude (Oney) Kitchell (mother) Orville Kitchell (father), Clifford Kitchell (brother) and George Kitchell (brother).

Jerry is survived by Karen (Howard) Kitchell (wife). James (Kerrie) Kitchell (son), Ann (Gary) Judd (daughter), Amy Schroll (daughter), Patricia Kitchell (daughter), Kevin (Angie) Kitchell (son). William Kitchell (brother), Amanda Holtman (granddaughter), Robin (Nick) Wahle (granddaughter), Jessica Kitchell (granddaughter). Jayden Keaton (great grandson), Theodore Karvounis (great grandson).
