Gerald Keefer

Gerald Keefer, born March 26, 1943 to the late Russell and Rosa Keefer, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 2, 2021.  Loving husband of 55 years this upcoming Thursday, May 6, Joy Keefer (nee Steffen), cherished father of Kelly Keefer and Jodi Keefer, dear brother-in-law of Sherry (Thomas) Schaper, Jonnell (Daniel Wiegmann Sr.) Steffen, and Bruce (Sandy) Steffen, and beloved uncle of Diana Beamenderfer, Janice Brown, Lisa Hurless, Kris Merillat, Staci Salzbrenner, Jamie Bowman, Tara Hullinger, Roger Mullen, Rodney Mullen, Dennis Case, Alan Case, and James Keefer, and survived by many dear great-nieces and great-nephews. Gerald is preceded in death by siblings James Keefer, Donald Keefer, Barbara Case, and Beverly Mullen, mother in Law Joyce Steffen, brothers-in-law Charles Steffen and Robert Mullen, and nephew Shawn Schaper.  Gerald worked for Navistar for many years.  He loved his family, watching western movies, tolerated watching the Bengals, and loved the Hoosiers and the Chicago Bears.  The family of Gerald will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home (400 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will follow beginning at 7:00 PM.
