Grace Shvegzda

Grace Shvegzda, born December 31, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Egbert and Bertha Piereck, passed away in Mason, Ohio on August 11, 2023.  Beloved mother of Bruce (Peggy Sexton) Shvegzda and the late Don (survivng spouse Kathy) Shvegzda, loving grandmother of Megan (Paul) Bain, Amy (Jeff) Hunter, adored great-grandmother of Emmylou and Julius, dear sister of Henrietta Dempsey and her 3 brothers that predeceased her, cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews, adored fiercely by Dottie and all of the Farrar Family, and revered friend to many.  Known to many of her friends and family as Amazing Grace, she left an impact on everyone she met.  She loved spending time and getting to know people wether they were familiar faces or complete strangers. Grace enjoyed the little things in life like flowers, vibrant colors, and traditions like seeing musicals that family would surprise her with for her birthday.  She will be greatly missed by many.  The family of Grace will be receiving friends and family for a visitation at The Christian Village of Mason - The Stone Worship Center (411 Western Row Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM, with a memorial service to follow the visitation beginning at 1:30 PM.  Donations may be made in honor and memory of Grace to Giving Voice Foundation at
