Harold "Bud" Hein

March 22, 1925 — August 16, 2020

Harold (Bud) Edward Hein, age 95, passed away August 16, 2020 in Mason, Ohio of natural causes. He was the loving husband of the late Betty Jane (Cunningham) Hein and devoted father of Jocelyn Hein (Bob Corona) and Janet Hein. He cherished his grandchildren Stephanie and Caroline Corona and was loved by many relatives and friends.

Bud was from Duluth, MN and served in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines during WWII. After receiving a business degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth he worked at advertising agencies in Minneapolis, MN, Las Vegas, NV, and Chicago, IL where he retired after finishing his career working for Leo Burnett.

An avid musician, Bud sang in church choirs and played piano for pleasure and church audiences. In 2011, he was awarded a 60 year Service Award as a Master Mason. He was also very active in the Clarendon Hills Lions Club and was given the Melvin Jones Award, which is awarded to a member who shows dedication to community and humanitarian service.

Bud was a classic member of the "greatest generation" and was selfless, humble and funny. He will be greatly missed. Abiding by his wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Cincinnati Medical School.
