Helen Frances Sharp Lee

Helen Frances Sharp Lee died on January 2, 2017, at the age of 102.  She was born on July 7, 1914, in Huntington, West Virginia, the only child of Charley and Iva Booth Sharp.  She graduated from Huntington High School in 1931 and attended Marshall College.  In February, 1940, she married D. Russel Lee and moved to West Chester, Ohio, where her new husband had taken a teaching job with what is now the Lakota School District.  A life-long Methodist, she was a founding member of Faith Community United Methodist Church and suggested the name for the new church.  She was active in school and community affairs in both West Chester and Mason and was a member of Qui Vive and the West Chester-Union Township Historical Society.  In recent years she resided at the Mason Christian Village. Mrs. Lee is survived by two sons, Charles Lee of Cincinnati and David Lee of Bowling Green, Kentucky, her daughter-in-law Laura Harper Lee of Bowling Green, her granddaughter Harper Lee of Cincinnati, her sister-in-law Norma Tassian of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews.Her family is grateful for the care and support provided by the staff of Mason Christian Village, the parishioners of Faith Community United Methodist Church, Tender Hearts, and Crossroads Hospice.  The family of Helen will be receiving friends for a visitation at Faith Community United Methodist Church (8230 Cox Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069) on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with a funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00 PM.  Donations may be made in Helen's Honor to Fath Community United Methodist Church.
