WHITSON, Herbert Leo, Sr. Beloved husband of 44 years to the late Patricia (nee Woodley) Whitson. Devoted father of Herbert Jr. (Thesha) Whitson, Catherine Armstrong, Christina (Keith) Gullion, Julie Whitson, Ronald (Farrah) Whitson, Tamara (Tony) Ralston, Danyelle (Brian) Paxton, Joshua (Meagan) Whitson and Deborah Whitson. Loving grandfather of twenty-three; great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of Donald, Milton, Frank, twin brother Howard, and the late Kenneth and the late Keith Whitson. Herb was a dedicated employee for 37 years at Princeton City Schools. He was a very loving husband and father to his family. He was also a dedicated follower of Christ and shared his faith with others. To know him was to love him, he never met a stranger. Herb will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at age 68. Friends may greet family from 5:00PM-8:00PM on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment, with full military honors, to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Herb's honor, to any Emery Federal Credit Union; Attn: the "Hero Account" under the name Christina Gullion.
