Jack Wagner

Long time music director – Jack Wagner, born June 13, 1932 to the late Irvan and Berniece Wagner, passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 11, 2023.  Loving husband of the late Mary Wagner and late first wife Geneva Klickman, cherished father of John (Joyce) Wagner, Jeanne Wagner, and stepdaughter, Diane Sheridan, beloved grandfather of Abby and Jack Wagner, and step-granddaughter Keely (Jason) Tuttle. Music was always an important part of Jacks life.  He received his undergraduate degree in Education from Capitol University.  After completing his undergrad, Jack went on to receive his master’s degree in education from University of Michigan.  From there, Jack was a long-time band director from the years 1959 – 1988 at Sycamore Schools and the beloved choir director at St. Paul Lutheran’s Church.  Jack was also a proud member of the Shriner’s and Masonic Lodge.  The family of Jack will be receiving friends for a visitation at St. Paul Lutheran Church (106 Maple St., Reading, OH 45215) on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 2:00 PM.  Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
