SHOEMAKER, Jacque L.- Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Potthoff) Shoemaker. Loving father of Mark (Alice) Shoemaker, Matthew (Diane) Shoemaker and Linda (Russ) Ratterman. Dear grandfather of Jenny (Brent), Jeff (Sara), Sarah, Emily (Drew), Julie and Andrew. Great grandfather of Brayden, Brooke and Tyler. Jacque had a love of music and most especially the trumpet. He was a member of the Cincinnati Musicians Association #1 for over 50 years. He was the leader of The Smittie Orchestra, The Smittie Schnapps Band, Dixie Four and the Yuletide Brass. He played with the Southwest Ohio Symphonic Band and the Syrian Shrine Concert Band. He taught private trumpet lessons for over 15 years and loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was past-master of Mason Masonic Lodge #678 and will be missed by all his lodge brothers and all who ever had the honor to meet him. Jac retired from Cincinnati Milacron in 1988. He was a charter member and elder at Crestview Presbyterian Church. Passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at age 80. His family will receive friends at Shorten & Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason. Ohio 45040 on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 6:00 pm until time of Mason Masonic Lodge #678 F. & A.M. Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite Ring service at 8:00 pm. Memorial service will be at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 9463 Cincinnati Columbus Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069 on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 am.
