James Woods
March 24, 1930 — June 18, 2015
Woods, James- Devoted father of Patricia (Rick) Deaton, Sandra (Mark) Wissel, J. Douglas Woods, Dori Woods and Dale (Trish) Woods. Dear brother of Harry Woods and Charlie Woods. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Passed away June 18, 2015 at age 85. Jim was born in Maude, Ohio and moved to West Chester, Ohio at age 2. He was a retired engineer at G.E. Evendale. Jim was an accomplished artist as well as a woodworker, leatherworker, beekeeper, ballroom dancer and earned his black belt in Martial Arts at age 73. He had a very active life after retirement. A member of The Cincinnati Dayton Opera and the Cincinnati Fencing Club. His family will receive friends at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home 8791 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., West Chester, Ohio on Tuesday June 23, 2015 from 10:00 am until Mason Masonic Lodge #678 Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite Ring Service at 12:00 noon.
