Joanne Mathison, a cherished soul who graced our lives with love and warmth, was born on March 24, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She left this world peacefully on March 13, 2025.
Joanne was the embodiment of unconditional love as a devoted wife to Robert Mathison. Her heart truly cherished the roles of mother, grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She lovingly nurtured her children Mark (Cheryl) McCreary, Gordon (Tammy) McCreary, and Jeff (Brenda) McCreary, instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion. The legacy of her love continues through her grandchildren Sarah, Tiffany, Scott, Mark, and Danny, and her great grandchildren Jordan, Zachary, Mila, and Liam, Lilah and Willow and great great grandchildren Audrey and Archie, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Joanne's family was her pride and joy, and she is survived by her loving sister Elaine Stewart and brother Ken Julien, who will carry on her spirit. She is now reunited with her beloved brother, Weldon Julien, embracing him once again across the gates of heaven, where they will share new memories together.
Beyond her role as a matriarch, Joanne had a passionate love for gardening and created intricate doll furniture that brought joy to those around her. In her kitchen, she crafted delectable dishes, sharing not just food but her nurturing spirit with family and friends.
Throughout her life, Joanne's fierce love and gentle kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. As we remember her today, let us celebrate her beautiful legacy, one filled with laughter, warmth, and a profound love that will continue to inspire us all.
