John "Jack" Gardner

Army Veteran - John “Jack” Gardner, born December 15, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Mildred Gardner, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023.  Loving and devoted husband of Patricia Gardner (nee Sliter), dear father of John Gardner and Jim (Jeri) Gardner, adored grandfather of Averi, Ryn, and Emily, and favorite companion of his best four-legged friend, Charlie.  Jack was a proud Xavier University graduate.  He was generous in every way imaginable, and sought no praise or favors in return.  Jack was also not just a grandpa, but the type of grandpa that would swim with his grandkids even later in life for hours on end.  He will be deeply missed by his family, Charlie, and many friends and extended family members.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
