Air Force Veteran, John J. O'Malley, born December 8, 1923, passed away November 3, 2016. Survived by beloved children Jay O'Malley, Tim O'Malley, Peggy Richardson, Patrick Michael O'Malley, Mary (Daniel) Holtzleiter, Maureen (Don) Appel, cherished sister Virginia (Tom) Kern, loving grandchildren T.J. (Andi) O'Malley, Kati (Jeff) Sliter, Daniel (Marissa) Holtzleiter Jr., Matt (Chrissy) O'Malley, Adam (Tara) Holtzleiter, Shane O'Malley, Michael (Katie) Richardson, Hillary Appel, and great-grandchildren Finnegan, Abby, Emma Jane, Keegan, Josie, William, Ryan, Daniel, Jack, Jayden, and Lilah. Preceded in death by loving wife Josephine O'Malley, and parents John and Marie O'Malley. John's hobbies were golf, golf, and golf. John was also an Honor Flight participant. The family of John will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-Mason (400 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A mass will follow on Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Susanna Catholic Church (616 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's honor to the Honor Flight.
