Joyce Ramsey

Longtime Mason resident, Joyce Ramsey, born October 1, 1936, passed away surrounded by those she loved on August 11, 2019.  Loving mother of Charlene Ramsey Boland (Bob), Fred (Barb) Ramsey, Mark (Laura) Ramsey, Scott (Whitney) Ramsey, honorary son and loyal neighbor Rick (Tammy) Hall, the late Kirk Ramsey, the late Debbie Ramsey, and the late Cliffy Ramsey.  Cherished grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Joyce was an avid sports fan, bowler, and loved following her children and grandchildren throughout their sports career.  Joyce was a long-time member of the Mason Touchdown Club, where she served as President, and is an honorary member of the Mason Hall of Fame.  She was active with the American Legion and enjoyed seeing all of the people she loved.  The family of Joyce will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home – Mason (400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00 PM.  The family of Joyce would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the caring staff from Hospice of Cincinnati.   In lieu of flowers please choose to donate to one of the two charities that were closest to Joyce’s heart: Autism Speaks or The ALS Association.
