Marine Corp. Veteran - Sgt. Juanita Baker, born February 23, 1931, passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 5, 2022.  Loving wife of the late Harold Baker, dear mother of Debra (Dee) Yates-Harbin, the late Billy "Mike" Yates Sr., the late Kevin Yates., and the late Cheryl Anderson, two step daughters Vicki Mahan and Belinda Sandusky, beloved grandmother of Justin (Lorrisa) Spratt, Brittany (David) Kolb, Billy Yates Jr., Christina Yates, Cody Yates, Bradley Anderson, Lexie Anderson, beloved great-grandmother, Hailie Spratt, Destiny Spratt, Ronald Spratt, Geneva Spratt, Mason Kolb, Payton Kolb, Kennedy Kolb, and Kylie Kolb, and beloved sister of Alvie Jackson and the late Clyde Jackson, and the late Pauline Burns.  The family of Juanita will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home, Friday June 24, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. A graveside ceremony with military honors will take place at Rose Hill cemetery immediately following the services at the funeral home.
