Kathleen Susan Easterling (Ball)

January 11, 1950 – March 8, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen Susan Easterling (Ball), a devoted wife, cherished mother, and beloved grandmother. Kathy passed at the age of 75. Born to Robert and Alice Ball (Rauch), Kathy grew up in a lively family of nine siblings, learning the values of love, laughter, and resilience early on. A lifelong resident of Mason, she carried those values throughout her life, spreading joy to everyone she met, even strangers.

Kathy had an incredible ability to brighten a room—not just with her keen eye for decorating or her passion for transforming old furniture, but with her funny personality. She had a sharp wit, a heart full of kindness, and a contagious laugh. Kathy loved to garden, play bingo, and, most of all, spend time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved them. She was the kind of mom and grandma who always had a story to share and kept you entertained.

Kathy is reunited in heaven with her parents, Bob and Alice Ball, and her sister, Nancy Robinette. Her love and legacy continue through those who survive her: her devoted husband, Bill Easterling; her five children, Elizabeth Ann Harrison (Jeff), Lori Ellen Halloway (Bruce), Karin Audra Easterling (Ken Krooner), Susan Lynn Wells (Larry), and Matthew David Easterling; her twelve grandchildren, Seth, Luke, Brooke, Morgan, Avery, Evan, Hayley, William, Emma, Peyton, Kyle, and Josie; and her two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Emmett. She is also deeply missed by her brothers and sisters, Elaine Harcourt, Bob Ball, Linda Ranson, Ray Ball, Ron Ball, Tom Ball, and Jim Ball.

Kathy's legacy is one of laughter, love, and warmth. She leaves behind a family who will forever be grateful for her presence, guidance, love, and the countless memories she gave them. Though our hearts ache in her absence and we will miss her every day, we find comfort in knowing that she will always be with us—in the beauty of a garden in bloom, in the laughter of a loved one, and in the countless lives she touched.

Kathy's family loves her beyond words, and we will miss her beyond measure
