Kemmy Dam, born April 22, 1970 in Vietnam to Henry Welling and Nu Dam, passed surrounded by the love of his family on February 23, 2022. Loving husband of Anna Choi, cherished father of Kimmy, Rachel, Janice and Kate, beloved brother of Hoa Dam, Thanh Wong, Deke Welling, Nancy Welling, Susan Gray, Minh Huynh, Peter Chau, Tony Chau, and the late Linda Darrach, dear uncle of Carmen Ng fiancé Tyree Simpson, Kayla Thinh, Jonathan Thinh, Zak McNelly, Justin Tsui, Alyssa Tsui Ryan Tsui, Ashley Henry Husband, Ryan Henry, Zoey Metcalf, Ellie Quach, Emma Quach, Erin Quach, Dominick Thornton, Tai Thornton and the late Franky “the fly” Shim Hazelgrove, great-uncle of Nevaeh Ng-Roland, T.J. Simpson, Jr.Semaj Simpson, Eva Henry, Ember Henry, beloved cousin of Chris Tsui wife Lynda, Tochi Tu fiancé Ken Cambre, Kim Tu husband Jeff Quach, Stephanie Tu fiancé Ricky Hudson, and special friend of Brian, Duncan, Alice, Danny Le.
Kemmy loved his family, loved people, and loved his football (especially the Patriots). He spent much of his time with his family at their restaurant Deme Kitchen in Over The Rhine and sing karaoke with his friends. He will be missed deeply by many.
The family of Kemmy will be receiving friends for a Celebration Of Life and visitation from 2-4 PM on March 13th at Deme Kitchen, located at 627 Main Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202. A prayer service will begin shortly following the celebration of life and visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.
