Wilkinson, KennethHerbert, Born October 22, 1928, Died January 3, 2016. Beloved Husband of Marilyn Sater Wilkinson. Ken was the only child of the late Cecil M. Wilkinson and the late Frances J. Wilkinson, father of Richard (Lisa), Mark (Deserie), Thomas (Kim) and Charles (Terry), Step-father of Mark (Jeanann), Michael (Shirley), Matthew (Kelly) and Martin (Char) Sater, Grandfather of 7 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter, 9 Step Grandsons and 4 Step Granddaughters. Ken was a graduate of The University of Illinois (1950) with a BS Chemistry and Roosevelt University (1960) with an MS in Chemistry. He was a member of The Eight Army in Korea 1952-1953 earning 3 bronze medals. He was employed for 35 years by the Sherwin-Williams Co. He was technical director of the chemical division in Chicago 1972-1974. He transferred to Cincinnati as plant manager in 1974. He also served as technical representative on Saccharin to The U.S Congress and many technical organizations such as the Calorie Control Counsel. In 1987 he became president of The Hilton Davis CO. in Cincinnati, until retirement in 1994.
His community activities include: Member and President School District 149 Dolton, Ill (1963-1974), Boy Scout Commissioner Dolton, Illinois (1973-1974), President Montgomery Kiwanis (1980), President Chicago Society for Coating Technology (1973), One of eight members originating The Ohio Chemical Council, President Food Color Association, President Cincinnati Chemical Association, Member and President Sandharbor Home Owners Association (1998-2005) (2009-2012).
He enjoyed sharing his life with Marilyn and the Thomas Wilkinson Family and Grandsons Tim, Gregg and Andrew of Reading Ohio.
