Marlene K. Flannery, born May 31, 1934 to the late Edward and Mary Besl, passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 2, 2023. Loving wife of the late Vernon H. Flannery, cherished mother of Michael,Patrick (Penelope), Noreen (Jim), Maureen (Dave), Kelly (Alan), Shea (Dana) and Shannon (Bo), beloved grandma of Greg (Jenny) Campbell, Matt (Meredith) Campbell, Tom (Anna) Flannery, Tim Flannery, Jonathan Flannery, Drew (Anna) Grisham, Jadon Flannery, Jessie Flannery, Kailyn Flannery, dear great-grandmother of Mallory Campbell, Mayla Campbell, Sion Flannery, and Brooks Campbell. Marlene was first and foremost a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and family woman. Marlene supported her children and grandchildren through all of their interests, attending sporting and band events, school programs and more.
She was a skilled seamstress, often times sewing clothes for her children as they were growing up and was a talented glass cutter and designer. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends. The family of Marlene will be receiving friends for a visitation at St. Susanna Church (616 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place following the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made in honor and memory of Marlene to Hospice of Cincinnati.
