Mary Caroline Dugan was the youngest child of Nora and Clarence Pohlman. She came into this world on June 16, 1942, as a bright spot during hard times. She left this world on August 21, 2018, at home surrounded by family and love. Mary spent most of her life rendering care to others during her career as a long-term care nurse. She loved to spend her free time working in her yard, putting together puzzles, crocheting baby blankets for family, posting political memes on Facebook, and spending time with those she cared about. Her greatest accomplishment is her family, both blood and adopted. She is survived by her eldest sister, Elizabeth Crone; by her children Sharon Dugan, Traci Mockbee, John Dugan, and Patrick Dugan; by her son-in-law David Mockbee; by her grandchildren, Elizabeth Dugan, Jacob Dugan, Tyler Dugan, Haley Dugan, and Alyssa Miller; and by her great-grandson, Noah Miller. She is also survived by her horde of “strays” who grew up in her home and under her care, and by all of her numerous and well-fed fur-babies. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to be made to Hospice of Cincinnati (https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/donate/) or to American Veterans (https://support.amvets.org/default.aspx?tsid=9966/).
