**In Loving Memory of Michael Anthony Cohen (Mike)**
February 22, 1972 – January 1, 2025
Michael Anthony Cohen, affectionately known as Mike, passed away at the age of 52, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. He is survived by his father, Philip G., and his beloved sons, Grant A., Drake A., Hudson A., and Everhett A. Mike also leaves behind his uncle, David R., along with Uncle Richard, Aunt Linda Petrucci, Aunt Maureen, and Uncle Raymond Polakowski, as well as numerous cousins who held him dear.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance P. Cohen, and his paternal grandparents, Abraham and Rita Cohen, along with his maternal grandparents, Sam and Theresa Petrucci, and his Uncle Lawrence Cohen.
Throughout his life, Mike embraced many roles: son, grandson, nephew, cousin, fraternity brother, friend, husband, and most importantly, a devoted father. However, the role that he held closest to his heart was that of Coach Mike. His passion for coaching volleyball allowed him to embody his true essence as a teacher, mentor, and guide to many young athletes.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Mike can attest to his distinctive dry and sarcastic sense of humor. It was a quality that brought joy and laughter to those around him. In a light-hearted example of his humor, upon being informed by doctors about requiring dialysis, he joked about singing to the tune of "All I Want for Christmas is a Hippopotamus," saying, “I am getting dialysis for Christmas.”
Mike’s spirit, humor, and dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
