Nick Cittadino

Nick (Nico) Cittadino, born April 12, 1943, passed away on July 20, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH. Nico was born and grew up in San Benedetto Ullano, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in 1959 in search for a better life.

 On May 13, 1967, he began his 57-year marriage to his loving wife Antonetta Cittadino née Ramundo. Together, they created a loving family and shared a strong family bond. Nico worked as a machinist until his retirement, for 40+ years at American Micro. He will be remembered as a man with the most kind and loving heart, willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will also be remembered by many as an avid (perhaps the world’s biggest) soccer fan. Nico played for the Cincinnati Comets Soccer team in the ‘70’s as part of the American Soccer League. Also, Nico was always known to closely follow soccer matches from across the globe, and his love for the game was infectious to those around him.

 Nico was preceded in death by his siblings Gaetano, and Luigi as well as his son Joe Cittadino.

 He is survived by his devoted wife, Antonetta Cittadino, his loving daughter, Tina Toca (Jeff Williams), his siblings Ercole and Elio Cittadino, his cherished grandchildren, Joe (Lydia) Toca, and Alissa (Thomas) Gibbs, as well as his precious great-grandchildren, Nora Toca,  Lina Toca, Enzo Toca, and Luigi Gibbs.

 Donations In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Cincinnati. Additionally, Nico, would want his life celebrated by everyone raising a glass of wine in his memory.

 Nico’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
