Olda Gioia

Olda Gioia, born April 13, 1931 in New York to the late Christopher Cetina and Maria Pecheco, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on February 9, 2023.  Loving wife of 71 years to Charles Gioia, beloved and doting mother of Angela Gioia and Anthony Gioia, cherished nanny of Michele (Craig), Christopher (Emily), and great-nanny of Brandt, Isabella, Molly, and Madison, and dear family member of many extended family.  Olda was a woman who spread her grace and kindness to anyone she would meet.  She was beloved by her husband Charles who was always her comfort and assurance in life.  Olda was a proud mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was an avid reader and made beautiful colorings when she found some downtime.  Her grace, love, and compassion will be deeply missed.  The family of Olda will be receiving friends and family for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home (400 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM -12 Noon, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 12 Noon.
