Richard Fussner

Richard Fussner, born March 9, 1929 in Hamilton County, passed away on February 1, 2021.  Loving husband of the late Mary Jane Fussner, born, beloved father of Richard (Marti) Fussner Jr. and John (Stacey) Fussner, cherished grandfather of Kelly Murphy, Jamie Foley, Jodi Gillen, Jill Nuss, Rick Fussner, Tara Baker, Mary Jane Michalak, Susie Paul, and Christopher Fussner, and great grandfather of Alex, Zak, Luke, Nick, Lilly, Keira, Conor, Megan, Molly, Jennifer, Jordan, Riley, Reagan, Brandon, Mia and TJ, and great-great grandfather of Calvin and Owen Brad, and beloved brother to Ronald Fussner, and the late Ralph Fussner.  Preceded in death by beloved daughter Kathy Hendershot. Richard was well respected among the Amusement Park Community in the country as a risk manager and safety professional, working collectively 40 years between Kings Island in Mason and Lagoon Park and Pioneer Village in Utah.  He was fire chief of Mason and an active member in Masonic Lodge 678.  The family of Richard will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-Mason (400 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 12 Noon.
