Robert Gerald Dumford

In Loving Memory of a beloved Mason, Ohio resident, Robert Gerald Dumford, who was born on December 25, 1930, to Leroy and Besse Dumford. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on September 29, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Robert will forever be remembered as a loving husband of 69 years to his devoted wife, Faye Dumford. He was a cherished father to his children, Susan Jayne Gardner and Robert Wayne (Diana) Dumford, a dear brother to the late Ida Mae Smith, and a doting grandfather to Sara (Scott) Johnson, Codi (Razi) Rahman, Anthony (Jennifer) Gardner, and Andrew (Allison) Gardner. His legacy extends to his great-grandchildren, Alexa, Zoe, Jacoby, Aiden, Carson, Nori, and his upcoming great-grandson, Emir Robert.

A lifelong member of Mason, Robert was deeply involved in his community. He was an esteemed member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, where he also shared his voice in the church choir. Robert had a passion for preserving the past and was an active member of the Mason Historical Society. Additionally, he was a dedicated member of Oakley Masonic Lodge #668 and The Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.

Robert found joy in various activities, including golf, bowling, and passionately supporting his favorite teams - UC basketball, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Friends and family will be receiving friends and family for a visitation at Heritage Presbyterian Church, located at 6546 Mason Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH 45040, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. In honor of Robert's Masonic affiliation, a Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service led by Pastor Kevin Stainton, also taking place at Heritage Presbyterian Church. A final procession to Rose Hill Cemetery (171 S. Mason-Montgomery Rd., Mason, OH 45040) will proceed from the church, where Robert will be laid to rest.
