Rachelle Doss

Rachelle Lowery Doss, aged 49, of South Lebanon, passed away on February 4, 2025. She was born on March 16, 1975, in Wilmington, Ohio, to Ethel (Barry) Freeze and Ronald (Kathy) Lowery. Rachelle's spirit and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those she cherished.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James (JD) Doss, and her adoring daughters, Whitney (Shaun) Slusher and Jodi (Dakota) Ellis. Rachelle's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Arvianna`, Wyatt, Eli, and Cayden, who were the light of her life. Rachelle also held a special place in her heart for her siblings: Crystal (Shelley) Lowery and Jim (Amy) Coomer, as well as her stepsiblings, Jeremy and Dylan Freeze. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, Caleb Johnson, Chase Coomer, and Stella Lowery, who will always remember her with fondness.

Rachelle embraced life with laughter and warmth, and her vibrant personality was a gift to all. Her infectious spirit created an atmosphere where no one felt like a stranger; she welcomed everyone with open arms. Her passion for art was equally remarkable, as she pursued her talent as a commercial painter with “High and Tight Painting.”

Rachelle had a deep love for animals, especially her cherished dog, Baby Dawg, with whom she enjoyed countless hours of play. The great outdoors beckoned to her adventurous spirit; however, it was her family that filled her heart the most. The bond she shared with her mother, Ethel, was particularly special; it shaped her into the devoted mother, Nanny, sister, and daughter she became.

In moments of challenge, Rachelle's strength and determination shone brightly. She tackled every task with vigor and dedication, always prioritizing her family above all. Though she may no longer walk among us, her laughter and indomitable spirit will live on in the cherished memories and stories her loved ones will share.

Rachelle is preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony Baker and Barry Langley, and her dear cousin, Michelle Coffee, who held a special place in her heart.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Rachelle Lowery Doss, we remember a woman who brought joy, love, and a splash of color into the lives of everyone she met. She will be profoundly be missed but never ever forgotten, embraced in our hearts forever.
