Rosalie Roberts

Rosalie Roberts (nee Whalen), born March 15, 1940, in Lebanon, Ohio to the late Leo Michael and Rose Mary Whalen, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 10, 2023.  Loving wife of the late Elbert Roberts, cherished mother of Renee (Jim) Snyder and the late Michael Lee Roberts, adored grandmother of Meghan Snyder and Dakota Roberts, beloved great-grandmother of Brynnleigh, loving sister of Edward Whalen, Patricia Whalen Collins (Larry), Robert Lee Whalen and her late twin sister Mary Elaine Whalen, dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, and cherished cousin of many extended family members.   Rosalie was a devoted stay at home mom until she began working for Famous Footwear in 1983.  She loved working there for over 20 years and meeting all the customers who came in.  Rosalie also had a passion for tending to her garden and nurturing all her flowers.  She will be deeply missed by many.  The family of Rosalie will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  A funeral service will take place immediately following beginning at 1:00 PM with a procession to Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason to follow.  After the graveside service, the family invites everyone to a celebration of life with fellowship back at the funeral home.
