It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Thomas L. Brayton, who left us on November 19, 2024. A resident of Landen, Tom was born in Lebanon, Ohio, and grew up in the area. He later attended Kings High School. He carried with him the warmth of his hometown throughout his life.
Tom's heart will forever be remembered by his beloved children, Erin (Nick) Cherney and Ryan (Glenna) Brayton. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Nathan, Elise, Max, and Olivia, nurturing them with love and wisdom. Thomas was also a devoted brother to Richard (Jet), Jerry (Gert), and Ted, holding a special place in their hearts.
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Thomas served in the United States Army with integrity and a steadfast spirit. His unwavering dedication translated into his career at General Electric, where he worked in the machine shop, contributing not only to his field but also embodying the values of hard work and commitment.
Tom had a passion for fishing, relishing the peaceful moments spent on the water. However, the times he cherished most were those spent with his grandchildren. He created countless memories with them, sharing life's valuable lessons during summer days filled with laughter and adventure. One of their favorite traditions was attending Cincinnati Reds games, where the joy of hot dogs, popcorn, and the electric atmosphere formed a backdrop to their precious memories together.
His love extended to his beautiful dogs, Cosmo and Lucky, who brought him endless companionship and joy. Tom truly was an exceptional person; his kindness radiated to everyone around him, including friends, family, and the furry companions he adored. Although he may have left this world, his spirit and the love he spread will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
