Tom "Gene" Britton

Tom (Gene) Britton, age 81, of Mason Ohio beloved husband of Edna (nee Donathan) passed away November 16, 2017. Loving father of Ernie (Helen), the late Raymond (Debbie), Eddie (Paula), and Tom Jr (Jacquie). Tom is survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and Special Companion Teddy Bear Britton. Tom was born March 26, 1936, in Pisgah Ohio to the late Ezra and Ethel (nee Hundley) Britton. Tom Graduated from Sharonville High School. Tom was a veteran of the United States Army, a former member of the Ohio State Patrol, a former volunteer firefighter and life squad Captain for Mason Ohio, a former Mason Police Officer, and a long time worker in the Insurance business. He retired in 1994. Tom was a past Post Commander (194), past County Commander (Warren), and past 4th District Commander for the American Legion. Tom spent 15years on the Warren County Veterans Commission serving as its President multiple times for multiple years. The family will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-Mason (400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Monday, November 20, 2017, from 10:00 AM - Noon with a funeral service to follow.
