Obituary for Trudy Lee Salo
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Trudy Lee Salo, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us unexpectedly on January 12, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on December 27, 1946, in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. Trudy graduated from Sault Area High School. In the summer of 1961, she met the everlasting love of her life, Dennis Salo, at Kinross Lake. They were married four years later and embarked on a life full of adventures. Starting with moving to New Mexico shortly after getting married then living in Georgia, Connecticut, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Finally settling Cincinnati Ohio.
Together with Denny, they traveled the world and visited all 50 states. She never expected to see so many wonders of the world coming from a small town but got to everything from the Rock of Gibraltar to the Great Wall of China. They loved to cruise and visit as many places and countries that they could.
She was active in her neighborhood community groups, Democratic Women’s Clubs and with a great group of people in her water aerobics class which she loved.
Trudy was an avid sewer, knitter, and crocheter. The family has many Afghan's to treasure and remember her by.
She loved and was so proud of her children, Scott Salo (Mary Alice) of Kentwood, MI and Carrie Salo of Sharonville, OH and her grandchildren, Dennis and Dawn.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mr and Mrs Clifford Baker, her husband Denny and her brother Steve Baker (Judy).
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and ashes interred with her husband. No service will be offered.
